Adopting
any kitten deserves a lot of forethought. After all, they will
be with you up to 20 years!
Himalayan or Persian
A Himalayan Kitten is registered
as a Himalayan Persian Kitten. Persian
kittens include the typical solid coats as well as variations like
shaded, smoke, and pointed. The gene that gives the pointed
variation originates from the Siamese Cat. Many years ago, the solid
Persian Cat was bred to the Siamese to produce a pointed Persian which is
today's Himalayan. Himalayan kittens tend to be more vocal and
'talk' like the Siamese, but this is faint at best. Himalayans are
Persians because their genetic profiles are identical.
Doll Face and
Traditional Himalayan Persians
Notice that the nose is short but not extremely flat. The short nose
illustrates the Doll Face but longer noses are considered "Traditional".

Adoptions
Adoptions typically require
telephone interviews followed by placement on a Waiting List secured by a
deposit.
Kittens are sometimes available immediately and indicated on the
Contact Page. During the telephone
conversation, please describe how a kitten will fit into your lifestyle
such as whether you have a busy household, live alone or travel.
Identify whether you are looking for a kitten as part of a Feline
Assistive Therapy Program. This information helps match a
kitten's personality to a future family. Please mention all other
pets that you have. If you have other cats or had other cats, it
is helpful to learn who or where you adopted them from and at what ages
they were when you brought them home. The behaviors of how your
animals get along with each other is excellent information such as how
one of your cats reacted when you introduced it to a new cat or kitten.
It is great to learn how you became interested in wanting to adopt a
Himalayan kitten and what you are looking for in a breeder. Further details are available on the
Contact Page.
